Commitment to transparency
We will provide the verified sources from which your answer is generated. If the answer to your question does not rely on any of our independent sources, it will be clearly labelled as “unverified”.
An answer is considered "unverified" when it was not created using Health Answers by Pfizer's verified and trusted health and wellness sources. This happens when we don't have enough source content to generate a verified answer using Health Answers by Pfizer’s standards. For your convenience, we generate an unverified answer using content from the open internet. Because information from the open internet may be out-of-date, inaccurate, or potentially harmful, Health Answers by Pfizer does not endorse or stand behind this information and it should be consumed at your own risk with this understanding.
Ensuring readability
Personalized answers based on your health profile
Sometimes the answers to health questions can change based on your health profile. Begin by answering some simple questions in your Health Profile -- such as age, sex assigned at birth, height, weight, smoking history and health conditions. Then enable personalization and ask any health question.
This feature will personalize answers to your health questions based on the information you choose to add to your Health Profile. Answers are only for informational purposes, and you should always consult a health care professional for any personalized advice.
Experimental
Personalization uses experimental AI to determine which parts of your Health Profile are relevant to the question you are asking. Please note that personalization is limited to the information available in your Health Profile, which may not give a complete picture of your health. Some questions may not get a personalized answer; for example, we do not personalize questions about medications at this time.
Controllable
You control when this feature is enabled, simply by toggling it on and off. This way, you can keep personalization on when asking for yourself or turn it off when you have a question about your family and friends. Personalized answers may take longer to answer than non-personalized answers.

Dynamically generated insights, tailored for you
The For You feed
We know your health evolves over time, and it often involves learning about something new. With the For You feed, you select Topics, or create your own, and Health Answers by Pfizer proactively generates relevant questions and answers so you can discover and learn over time. It’s designed to be useful and simple, when you may not know exactly what to ask.
Quality control and oversight
To make sure you are always getting the best possible information, we have the following procedures in place to help ensure our quality and continuously improve:
- AI is not human and is still experimental, and that’s why we pass our answers through a filter that helps ensure faithfulness to the original source material.
- As described in detail above, in the cases that we do not have the content from our trusted sources to generate a verified answer we will provide an ‘unverified’ answer for your convenience.
- We have independent clinicians across specialties routinely audit the pre-generated articles and randomly sample our AI-generated answers to help ensure they are consistent with current clinical practice guidelines or standards of care and that our safeguards are appropriate.
- The independent clinicians also review articles and answers to help ensure relevance and clarity; however, as with all Gen AI, hallucinations and inaccurate or incomplete responses may still occur. Results from the independent clinician audits are reviewed with the engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement as part of continuous quality enhancement.
- We have an independent scientific and technology advisory board that reviews and advises us on our Gen AI policies and procedures.
- You will find “Share Feedback” links on every Health Answers by Pfizer answer and article — so you can let us know quickly and easily if something doesn’t look right. By clicking this link, we can check the question and answer specifically.
