Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)

Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, is an infection or inflammation of the clear tissue that covers the white part of the eye and lines the inside of the eyelids. It can be caused by a viral or bacterial infection, allergies, or irritants like smoke. Symptoms include redness, itching, discharge, and tearing. Treatment may involve antibiotics and soothing measures like applying a cool compress to the affected eye.
