Laryngitis

Laryngitis is an inflammation of the voice box, causing the vocal cords to swell and change the sound of the voice. It can make the voice hoarse, croaky, or too quiet. Laryngitis can be caused by viral infections, bacterial infections, or straining the voice. Most cases of laryngitis go away on their own, but resting the voice, staying hydrated, and avoiding irritants can help manage the symptoms.
