Autoimmune Gastritis

Autoimmune gastritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the stomach caused by the immune system attacking the stomach lining. This can lead to problems with absorbing vitamin B12, resulting in anemia and neurological issues. Diagnosis can be challenging due to the absence of specific symptoms, but early detection is important to prevent complications. This condition is also associated with an increased risk of developing certain types of stomach tumors.
