Wilms' tumor, also known as nephroblastoma, is a rare type of kidney cancer that mainly affects children. It is the most common kidney tumor in children under 15 years of age. This tumor develops from embryonic kidney cells and is characterized by a combination of blastemal, epithelial, and stromal components. Early detection and a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy have led to a cure rate greater than 85%.
