Spinal Cancer

Spinal cancer is a rare type of cancer that can develop in the spinal cord, vertebrae, or the tissues around the spinal cord. Most spinal tumors are caused by cancer spreading from other parts of the body. They can be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Treatment options may include surgery, radiation therapy, or chemotherapy, depending on the type and cause of the tumor. Early detection and treatment are important for improving outcomes.
